HELLOOOOOOOO! (I sincerely hope that you read that in the voice of Mrs. Doubtfire.) I hope y’all are doing well! I haven’t been on the hunt for fries in a while but the other day, while out to brunch, I was taken aback by the amazing fries that came with my steak and eggs. It is nice to be reminded by the universe why I was put on this earth… to write about potatoes in all their beautiful majestic glory. SO without further adieu…

Alright guys… these were really good. Like really fucking good. First of all, you can literally never go wrong with steak and eggs in the morning. Unless you’re vegan. Then don’t eat this. But back to these fries. These little babes were so fresh. Crispy golden crunch on the exterior and a beautiful fluffy inside like grandma’s Thanksgiving mashed potatoes. The smell was delicious… salty, starchy and STRONG. The flavor was insane, and it was only enhanced from the juices of the steak and the beautiful runny egg yolks. No need for condiments here folks. These puppies didn’t need a thing.

They get a perfect 10 for freshness… They are all happy and homemade looking. Some a little misshapen in the most beautiful and imperfect way. The menu even states that they are cut  and fried in house. Value is where I am lost for a bit. They aren’t the greatest BANG(ers) for your buck (see what I did there?). I get that it’s steak and eggs, but honestly, there wasn’t a very large amount of steak, and I am in Texas people… beef is not that expensive here. I would have liked to see it for about $14, but hey, it was for a Sunday brunch, and I have been known to splurge on some good frites.

Even with the the incredible and loud brass band that was playing in the outdoor patio area where I was sitting, I was just hearing the song BANG BANG in my head with every fry that entered my mouth!

These pups were amazing and I HIGHLY recommend Bangers if you ever find yourself in ATX! Special thanks to Spencer for introducing me to this restaurant and its vibrant food and music scene! I will definitely be back!
